上一年的脚步特别快，在我还没有进入年的气氛的时候，就已经悄悄降临了。今年的除夕，我同样要在宜昌，和家人一起度过。除夕夜，家家户户门上都贴着对联，挂着红灯笼，显示出一派除夕夜热闹的气氛。据说对联的是我国古代用来驱鬼辟邪、迎喜接福的桃符，“新年纳余庆，嘉节号长春”的对子就是中国最早的对联。
除夕是上一年的结束，新年的开端，人们都希望开开心心的度过中国最盛大的节日，也就是所谓的年。早在几千年前，买年货，吃年夜饭的习俗就传承下来，直至今日。每年的腊八开始，人们就开始准备新年了，大街上买卖年货，服装，爆竹烟花的随处可见，大街小巷洋溢着浓重的年味，人们奔波在各商店间，虽然忙得不可开交，但却也乐此不疲。每逢这个时候，我都喜欢去大街上闲逛，看着人们一张张笑脸，期待着年的到来……

在我们家，每年的这一天，奶奶都会亲自动手包一篮粽子，有蛋黄肉馅的，有蜜枣莲子馅的，而我最喜欢的莫过于红豆沙馅的。看到奶奶包粽子，我也跃跃欲试。看完奶奶的示范，我也撸起袖子，自信满满地说：“这完全难不倒我！”学着奶奶的样子，我首先将两片粽叶折叠在一起，卷成一个漏斗状；然后在漏斗中放入少许糯米，加入一勺红豆沙，再盖上一层糯米；接着再拿一片粽叶，将漏斗没有封口的地方整个包起来，多出来的叶子，向两边折一下，这时漏斗就完全封闭了；最后用一根细细的绳子，将刚包好的粽子“五花大绑”，再系上一个活结，就这样，一个可爱的、三角形的粽子便包好了。
粽子包好后，奶奶就放到笼屉里蒸上，不一会儿，糯米混合着粽叶清香的味道，飘散在家里的每一个角落。一家人围坐在一起，吃着香甜可口的粽子，听奶奶说着古老的故事，别提心里有多美了！
